Stevens Arms and Tool Company by combining the .22 Long case with the 40-grain bullet of the .22 Extra Long. It is the only ammunition allowed by the ISSF for 50m rifle and for 50m and 25m rimfire pistol, and is also used for recreational shooting, small game hunting and teaching beginners.
